Brimming with a warm and friendly disposition, Distribution Systems (DS) clerk Madeline Ramirez has been an invaluable member of both DS and previously the Customer Service department since 2004. Beyond her reputation as a hard worker and team player, colleagues know her as “the cat lady,” a term of endearment she owns proudly.

SJW Fleet Goes Green with Switch to Renewable Diesel

Just in time for Earth Day, San Jose Water is proud to announce we have made the switch: all vehicles in our service fleet now run on Neste My Renewable Diesel (NMRD), a biofuel made from 100% renewable and sustainable feedstock.

By day, Dave Wilson is a skilled locator for the Distribution Systems department at SJW. This involves visiting various sites around the service area to let contractors know where our facilities are located underground, using a metal detector.

Gisela Foster, a former San Jose Water employee in the Data Processing Department, has a lot more to share than just her wisdom and skills gained throughout years of work. The 80-year-old has knitted over 600 teddy bears for sick children.
