Automatic Payments

If you prefer to have your bill automatically paid using your checking or savings account, please enroll in our automatic payment service (APS) and the full amount of your bill will be automatically deducted from your bank account approximately 21 days after you receive the bill.

How to Enroll in APS

Fill out an automatic payment service application and send the application along with a voided check to:

Need to update your banking information and you are not enrolled in online billing?

If you are already enrolled in the automatic payment service plan and your bank information has changed, please fill out an automatic payment service application and send the application along with a voided check to:

Deactivating Automatic Payment Service (APS)

If you would like to keep online billing but remove your existing APS:  

  1. Log in to online billing with your User ID and Password
  2. Go to "My Payment Accounts" 
  3. Select "Delete" to remove from your profile 
  4. Notify us by email customer.service@sjwater.com or by phone (408) 279-7900 , that you have requested to stop APS.

Use these tips to ensure a smooth payment process:

  • Please do not mail cash
  • Make checks payable to "San Jose Water"
  • Please do not staple or tape your check to the payment coupon
  • Write your San Jose Water account number on the check
